Is it possible to change the world while headbanging and singing about shower makeouts? Is it possible to change the world WITHOUT headbanging and singing about just wanting to chill, but not being able to cuz yer broke?!? Serious question.
The punk revolutionary spirit burns bright against systemic transphobia, and paints a vivid picture of Singapore-Malaysian queer history, all to the tune of the band @shhdiam’s irreverent tunes, which pulses through the docu like a kick drum. Released in 2025, this is your chance to get tapped in!!!

In 2018, 22 activists from 15 countries sailed on Al Awda to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza and deliver aid to Palestinians. Among them were two Singaporeans: filmmaker Jason Soo and doctor Ang Swee Chai, widow of exiled lawyer Francis Khoo. The film features brief portraits of the group, including an Israeli ex-air force captain, an Algerian journalist, a Swedish singer and a Malaysian academic. As the boat nears their destination, the activists undergo training in nonviolent resistance—tactics to calmly deal with the inevitable forceful arrests by the Israeli military—and discuss strategies of care and solidarity.
